Smiley Sharing Uber St. Louis Ride-a-longs: The Business of Rideshare
Smiley Sharing Uber St. Louis Ride-a-longs: The Business
First off, some great news: Michael and his TC Rebecca have employed the service of an independent artist to hand-draw and watercolor their new logo for the website. I think I look great in it! If you want the contact information for our logo artist, you’ll be able to find that in Smiley Suggesting section, or you can just visit Zyrathesp’s site directly here: Zyrathesp’s Fiverr Page!
Smiley Sharing Uber St. Louis Ride-a-longs: Driver Vehicle
Michael and I are off to talk to a lizard about a car wash (Read the Review here: Blue Iguana Car Wash) after meeting with the lizard, Michael and I will be going online. We’re planning on working a six hour shift this beautiful Sunday evening. We hope that you’ve enjoyed your Sunday, whether you worked hard, rested, visited your house of worship of choice, or spent time with family and/or friends. We look forward to bringing you inside of our journeys and providing positive perceptions, uplifting thoughts, tips for drivers, recommendations for writers, and all things positive about ridesharing and life in the greater St. Louis metro area.

Speaking of recommendations, (Read More Recommendation here: Smiley Recommends) there are a lot of drivers who have been asking for recommendations on a car/dashboard mount for your phone. Michael found a really good one that he likes. It takes up very little real estate, and it holds his phone exactly where he wants to hold it. It’s a great deal, so we’ve shared the link here.
Smiley Sharing Uber St. Louis Ride-a-longs: Mental Health and Wellness
Hanging out on Michael’s dashboard gives me a lot of time to think. “What can a face stuffed with fluff think about?” you may ask. As the mascot for Michael’s van, I do more than sit on the dashboard and soak up the sun. I listen, I observe, and I ponder all that I learn.
Smiley Sharing Uber St. Louis Ride-a-longs: Negativity and 5 Star Service
One of the things that I’ve noticed is a lot of negativity. It seems like a lot of people stay focused on the negative, letting it blind them to opportunities to improve their situations. Do you approach things in your life looking for the negative, expecting the worst, jumping to the conclusions, believing that everyone is out to cheat you? Do you believe that the deck is stacked against you no matter what you do? If so, how is that working out for you?
I know it didn’t work for Michael. Michael has always had a natural affinity for sales, but he didn’t have the positive attitude he has now. At one point in his career, he blamed everyone and everything for the problems he was having in his life. If he couldn’t make a sale, he blamed the customer for not being smart enough to see that Michael was offering the best products. After some time, Michael came to realize that the criticism, blame, anger, and negative attitude he was showing was a reflection about how he was feeling about himself. He discovered that he was projecting his feelings of low self-worth onto others, and it was impairing his ability to be a productive worker and a content, confident, positive person.
Smiley Sharing Uber St. Louis Ride-a-longs: Personal Inventory
If you have a moment, take an inventory: Are you really as bad as you think you are? Do you feel as though you are not worthy of success? Can you smile at yourself? Is there anything in your life worth being happy about?
It may feel like the answers are “Yes, yes, no, and no,” but that’s not true! You are valuable, you are worthy of success, and there is always something worth being happy about, even if it isn’t always easy to find at first.
If you have the courage to change the way you feel about yourself, you’ll find the world around you changing. You’ll notice more of the positive things in your life, and you will be able to discover ways to overcome the negative things that come up in your life.
Smiley Sharing Uber St. Louis Ride-a-longs: Balance and Positivity
I know it seems like an odd thing to share, but Michael and I thought it was something important to discuss. We’ve already encountered a fair share of Debbie Downers who choose to question the positivity that we’re spreading through SmileySharing rather than enjoying it for what it is: a blog celebrating the lighter side of ridesharing and life.
Speaking of life, it’s been a slow night for ridesharing, so Michael is going to forgo working for Uber and devote this time to working on the website, completing homework, and enjoying the remainder of his Sunday with his TC and family. Michael has a lot of irons in the fire, and if he wants to shape them into beautiful things, he has to balance his time between them. Sometimes you’re profitable in the moment, and sometimes you’re sowing seeds for profitability and success in the future.
SmileySharing will continue to bring you the best in ridesharing and life here in the greater St. Louis metro. Maybe one day we’ll get to pick you up and provide you with our five-star service. Stay tuned!
Take Me With You!
I hope you know that with me you’re never riding alone and that I may bring a smile to your face. 🙂
